Terms of Service
Last updated September 29, 2026
Welcome to Evnts (evnts.rsvp). By creating an invite, sending messages, or responding to an invite, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What Evnts is
Evnts lets you create a shareable event invite, send it to your guests, and collect their RSVPs. The service is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial event planning.
No accounts, no passwords
There are no passwords. Your verified mobile number is how you sign in: we text a one-time code to it, and anyone who can receive texts on that number can manage your events. Keep your phone secure and tell us if your number changes hands. You are responsible for activity that happens through your number, including by co-hosts you invite.
Paid events
A host can set a price per person or sell ticket types. Payments are made through Stripe to the host's own Stripe account: the host is the seller (the merchant of record), receives the money, and is responsible for refunds, disputes, taxes and any receipts the law requires. Evnts never holds guest payments and takes no share of the ticket price. Guests pay Stripe directly on a Stripe-hosted page and are bound by Stripe's terms; hosts accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement when they connect. Refund requests go to the host, who handles them in Stripe; a full refund or a chargeback releases the guest's spot. Evnts shows the host who has paid and how much.
Optional tip to Evnts. Unless the host switches it off, a guest paying for tickets can add a tip to Evnts ($1, $2 or $5; nothing is pre-selected, and "No thanks" costs nothing). It is its own line on the checkout page and goes to Evnts through Stripe, not to the host; the host still receives the full ticket price, as Evnts covers Stripe's card fee on the tip. If the host refunds the guest in full, the guest's refund includes the tip; after a full refund or a chargeback, Evnts returns its share to the host.
Your responsibilities
You must provide accurate information and only invite or text people who you reasonably expect to want your invitation. You are responsible for the content you add (titles, descriptions, images, questions) and confirm you have the right to use it.Guests you add yourself. If you add a guest from your dashboard and give us their mobile number, you confirm that they know about the invitation and have agreed to receive one message about it from you through Evnts (a text in the US and Canada, a WhatsApp message elsewhere). You are giving that consent on their behalf. We send exactly one message — it names you and the event, carries their RSVP link, and says that nothing more follows unless they confirm their number — and nothing further until they do. Do not use Evnts to send spam, unlawful, hateful, deceptive, or harassing content, to impersonate others, or to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.
Messages
Text messages and emails are part of the service. Guests and hosts provide a mobile number and opt in to receive event-related texts such as a verification code, an RSVP confirmation, a reminder, event updates, a host management link, (for hosts) a day-after note asking how the event went, and — if you follow a community — a text when it posts a new event (at most four a month per community). Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help.
Communities. A host may run a community page listing events they choose. The host is responsible for what the page says, as for their invites. The host sees how many people follow and, in their data download, the followers' numbers — the audience is theirs to keep; they may not use those numbers for anything the follower didn't agree to.Member lists. A host may upload the names and numbers of their members to offer Members only tickets. The host must have their members' permission to share them with us for that purpose. We use a list only to check a guest's confirmed number when they pick a Members only ticket; we never message anyone because they are on a list.Promo codes. Codes a host makes are created in the host's own Stripe account as well, under Stripe's terms.Paid membership. A community may sell a recurring membership. As with tickets, the host is the seller: the subscription is between the member and the host, on the host's own Stripe account, renews until cancelled, and can be cancelled at the end of the current period from the community's page. Refunds are the host's to give, in Stripe. If the community is deleted, renewals stop and members keep the period they paid for. The host decides who else counts as a member (people they add to the member list themselves) and must have their permission to share their details with us. A host may offer tiers with perks at their events, and may limit a tier to students; who counts as a student is the host's rule, and we only check that the email address given receives our code at a school domain. How we handle this data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and events or data may be removed. We do not guarantee that messages will always be delivered, as delivery depends on carriers and third-party providers.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evnts is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including missed or delayed messages.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
